In Buddhism leadership is very important. Leaders can lead other people to a better world, to happiness and success. So, becoming a leader is an important thing.
It is the same for your business. As your business grows, so will your responsibilities. This can provoke stress, for you and for others. How can you become a good leader within your own business, to yourself and to others? What kind of skills do you need, and do you have what it takes? How can you develop those skills?
My story
For me leadership starts with myself. Am I able to lead myself, to inspire myself, to motivate myself?
The quote of Jack Welch says it all: “Before you are a leader, success is all about growing yourself. When you become a leader, success is all about growing others.” So it all starts with your growth. What experiences can you share with others?
“A leader is one who knows the way, goes the way and shows the way.”, says John C. Maxwell and this is so true. In Buddhism it is about taking responsibility and action to help others to happiness.
The moment I made the decision to tell the world my story, I took leadership. Leadership to grow myself and my business. Leadership to follow my passion and my mission. It is my mission to lead people to happiness and now I do it naturally. It became my mission with my business: to help others to better results following their passion. So, in the end they are happy in their business. I do this by sharing my own experiences and what did work and didn’t work for me. I do this by sharing Buddhist principles that help me in my business, so they can help you too.
To develop yourself as a leader, means to take responsibility for your own growth and then take action to inspire and share this with others. It all starts with the determination to be a leader!
What’s your story?
Take a moment to describe how you lead yourself as well as others. Where do you see room for development? How are you going to develop yourself as a leader?
Share it with me in the comments.
